About this artwork
In this painting, I've immersed myself in the simplicity and raw emotion of everyday life. Using oil, I've captured a scene stripped of complexity, focusing on the beauty within the mundane. The naive style speaks to the heart, the elemental forms conveying a timeless moment, primitivism connecting us to the fundamental human experience. This work isn't just a visual piece; it's an invitation to find joy and reflection in the overlooked corners of…
existence.

« I am the person holding the brush but my paintings have a life of their own. »
Behnaz Larsen is an Iranian biologist and self taught artist based in Denmark. Her paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as internationally. Creating in a realistic style with elements of surrealism, her works tell stories relating to heritage and belonging. As such, Larsen describes her works as allegories. She most often creates with oils on canvas or wood.
