About this artwork
"Terres" explores the living matter of the world, this space where textures, layers, and traces tell the story of what settles, crumbles, and is reborn. In this intuitive composition, spontaneous gestures—drips, scratches, impasto, veils of color—evoke a soil in transformation, between organic warmth and telluric forces.
Deep browns, earthy pinks, mineral whites, and dark hues blend together like geological strata. The free-flowing forms, sometimes… reminiscent of minerals, sometimes of plants, suggest the discreet yet constant energy of life. Nothing is static: matter circulates, breathes, and opens up.
Through this abstraction, I explore one of the central dualities of my work: fragility and power, chaos and birth. Earth thus becomes a metaphor for that which sustains us, shapes us and transcends us - a sensitive fragment of the world, its buried vibration.
