About this artwork
In my watercolor work I was inspired by the pulsating heart of the city. I wanted to capture the dynamism and resilience of the urban landscape. Since 1985 Benno Noll works as a freelance artist. The archaic emerges as a theme, but also illustrated by the choice of material in his pictures. He creates frescoes by working in alternating, filled with corroded iron and light, consisting of water, glazes. The layers sense the production process and give the work plasticity.
