The prisons are horrible, but you have to know that it existed.
The island has unfortunately changed a lot since the 1990s when they decided to build tourist hotels and an airport. Arriving there from Tanzania by boat is so magical because you can see the coral reef...
It's such a shame this place wasn't spared!
