This photo project involves photographs of mountain peaks that, rotated 90 degrees, resemble profiles of human faces.
The term “pareidolia” describes the ability to recognize a face, human figure, or animal in abstract shapes such as clouds or mountains.
The picture shows the “Dürrenstein”, a 2839 m high mountain in South Tyrol (Italy), which rises as the second highest peak in the Pragser Dolomites between the Pragser Wildtal and the Hohlensteintal… in the Fanes-Sennes-Prags Nature Park. It is considered one of the most beautiful panoramic peaks in the Dolomites.
