Birgit Egen, painter and master student of Prof. Markus Lüpertz, works in a space that ranges from free abstraction to her ARTcycling project: painting on recycled canvases. Her works unfold along three main themes: the artistic exploration of emotion and fleeting moments, an experimental engagement with materiality, and the transformation of discarded materials into meaningful canvases imbued with history. The creative process follows an intuitive, organic dynamic that allows for spontaneous developments and produces works that explore the boundaries between form, texture, and emotion. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including at the Copelouzos Family Art Museum in Athens, the Museum Stift Klosterneuburg near Vienna (where she was a finalist for the St. Leopold Art Prize), and at ArtExpo Paris. Solo exhibitions have taken her to Göttingen, Regensburg, and Munich, where her works were also displayed in Marienplatz with the support of the state capital.
