Part of a series of six works depicting an extraterritorial world that any human may enter, provided they travel there in their shadow form.
Within this realm dwell elven oracle figures, each embodying a distinct psychological or mental condition.
This piece portrays the Oracle of Singing. Among the most sought after, it offers visitors an intensified experience of song — rich, immersive, and deeply affecting. Yet the pleasure it grants carries… a quiet cost: the more one is drawn into its voice, the more distant and diminished singing may feel in the real world.
The oracle’s presence becomes both a source of joy and a subtle dependency, inviting return not only for its beauty, but for what it begins to take away.
The original work was drawn and painted by hand in a layered digital process — as seen in the accompanying time-lapse video.

Boaz Gabai is a painter and digital artist with roots in both classical and contemporary practices, trained at Bezalel Academy and further refined through academic studies in Tel Aviv. His work fuses painterly, handcrafted digital painting and traditional oil pastel, employing a unique interplay between abstraction and realism, spontaneity and obsessive detail.
