About this artwork
Crab Pots
On one of the Piers at the Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco I captured these crab pots. The lighting, angle of light, and stacking shape all added to my interest. Even though a sharper representation made the image busier, it’s this everything thrown in is what made it so compositional. The finer details of the cage are textural while the frayed and blackened wraps are rustic and define their cylindrical shape. Blue shadows in the background… offer relief.
The print will be created using Entrada Rag Fine Art Paper. As a 100% cotton paper Entrada is archival acid- and lignin-free with an expanded color gamut, natural contrast and high ink load.
This print will include a 1” border and will be signed and numbered at the bottom.
Optional sizes are available upon request.
