About this artwork
My work captures the rustic essence and serene beauty of a landscape with a windmill, using etching and silkscreen techniques. The earthy textures and colors reflect the deep connection with nature and the simplicity of the rural. I am inspired to inject calm and a sense of grounding into every space that adorns this piece, inviting the observer to feel the tranquility of the countryside.
I was surprised, after having shown it several times in the… city of Rosario, that the mill escapes the sight of the people of Rosario. I have yet to meet anyone native to the city who knows where it is. The mill is located at the end of the avenue that runs along the Paraná River, under the Victoria Bridge that connects two provinces over the water. The construction of this bridge was a milestone in the history of civilization between Rosario and Victoria.
In the city where I grew up there are as many windmills as trees and their presence captures my attention. I wonder: Where do the people of Rosario look?
