About this artwork
This is the newest painting in the series, "over my head" improvised gestural portrait of David Bowie portraits in the foreground with layers of acrylic and collage supporting the background. All the paintings in these series come to fruition while listening to his interviews, his music, and or by personally reflecting on how much he contributed, on so many levels, to our world.

Bridget Griggs is an established Canadian painter who has exhibited her works throughout North America. Energized the infinite possibilities offered by art, she harnesses her perpetually curious and intuitive nature to compose orchestral-like connections between material, colour and technique.
