About this artwork
American-style black frame with a gold patina.
Greek Mythology: Medusa is one of the Gorgons, three daughters of the gods, who turn to stone anyone who looks at them: the mineral is the densest materialization of darkness. It is spiritual death. Medusa alone is mortal; she is therefore linked to the physical, material body of man. She represents social perversion: vanity. She is the transition between the two elements, since she was born from water,… her primal element, before the materialization of the cosmic phase into earth, and moreover, her venom is fire. Text inspired by Jacqueline Berger's *Universal Philosophy*.
Medusa, which can be compared today to the society of the spectacle, attractive, seductive, distracting, such as the media, stars, politicians, etc... which hypnotizes humans with its recurring lies, leaving them in a form of spiritual and intellectual paralysis, far from their original substance.

Her artistic approach is deeply rooted in the exploration of the spiritual realm through lyrical, poetic, and surreal figuration. Her work highlights the duality of human existence, between shadow and light, materiality and spirituality. She expresses this tension through a pictorial contrast between ultra-smooth surfaces and chaotic reliefs, sometimes creating works that exist somewhere between painting and sculpture, where the subjects seem to emerge from the support. Trained in decorative painting, she has enriched her practice through various specialized workshops, notably in lime techniques, frescoes, patinas, and decorative plasters such as stucco. She also masters mural painting, modeling, airbrushing, and pouring with epoxy resin, giving her work a unique, glazed appearance. She invites reflection on consciousness, wisdom, and the connection between the visible and invisible worlds, sublimating matter to touch upon these spiritual realities.
