Brigitte Goethals, trained in painting, sculpture, and ceramics, specializes in the art of porcelain. Adopting an unconventional approach, she uses materials in a complex manner, bringing porcelain closer to mineral, stone, and even marble. Her works explore the ephemerality of human existence, its impact on nature, and the imprint of nature itself on the universe, in a quest for balance and harmony. Inspired by Louise Bourgeois, she seeks to remind us through her work that fear is not an obstacle to self-realization.
