The Relative Freedom of Famous People
I wonder if young… Elizabeth dreamed of her future title; did she have smaller or bigger dreams? I wonder if the weight of her responsibilities and representation was worth her single life, and if she could have left her position if she had decided to?
It was through the invigorating jungle of Haena, in the north of Kauai, that the idea matured. I imagined Elizabeth in a Garden of Eden, playing with the taste of freedom. I chose two mirrors bordered with gold ornamentation as artifacts, and I created two photographic works with Marc & Christine, muse.
