About this artwork
A planet Earth that is too small, men without limits, a feeling of suffocation that pushes us to go elsewhere, to neighboring stars, to seek new riches to conquer: the moon, Mars...
But beyond the technological feat, between these planets and us there are the clouds that we pierce to reach the objective.
So I imagined that we were so cramped on our pretty little blue globe that we would be able to flatten, stretch, and deform the cumulus and cumulonimbus… clouds that surround us, a bit like we would do on a touch screen.
Between humor, poetry and questions, I present to you my creation: our blue sky and its elongated clouds obtained through a refined treatment of colors and a spontaneous gesture, for intensity.
But beyond the technological feat, between these planets and us there are the clouds that we pierce to reach the objective.

French artist Bruno Planade lives and works in Clermont-Ferrand.
The artist defends his convictions nourished by his training in design (textile and digital) then in pictorial art, first developing his work in the service of industries then in communication and digital agencies before expressing his feelings and reinventing his sensitivity in painting.
He creates his own tools, preferring a mason's plastering knives, a plasterer's spatulas or cleaning brooms to art brushes; he likes to divert the tools of other skills to the point of borrowing their gestures.
Committed to the practice of dance, he chooses the body as a medium for its ability to express the deep energy of a work and the movement.
Bruno Planade experiments with instinctive and spontaneous abstract art, going so far as to create new relationships with movement in digital space.
