About this artwork

A lanscape capturing the serenity and spirituality of a sunset or a sunrise, and the mystery of one's life journey.The artist applied sand mixed with gesso to create an expressive texture in the foreground of the painting. She then used various layers of glazing, thin layers of painting and medium, to render a feeling of dream, delicacy and depth. It is also inspired by J.M. Turner’s work. The composition of the painting is based on the gold number… ratio, for infinite harmony.

Cæsiliæ is an experienced Parisian painter with international roots, now based in Berlin. Drawing on personal loss, she seeks to build a spiritual and poetic artistic universe that facilitates healing whilst also acknowledging pain. Water features prominently in her figurative works; luminous reflections on lakes and oceans appear within outlines of female subjects caught in movement. These elements ultimately display a visual dance of light and feeling.
