About this artwork
On a ski expedition in Iceland I met the mountain elves for the first time. It was a day filled with blue and silver, freedom and joy. I came to rely on their direction vis a vis the conditions which were difficult.
This is a beautiful, joyous and calming piece; oil on canvas with aluminium foil reflects the glistening snow; the blues resonate to freedom and to the throat chakra which facilitates communication. I added aquamarine, helping with… clarity, tolerance and calm while the silver brings patience, perseverance as it mirrors the mysteries of the soul. The brushed steel frame reflects the mountain light and contains the energies of this powerful little gem.
