About this artwork
When I created Goldmine, I felt as if I were looking down at the universe from above. A landscape unfolded in front of me, like a map of tiny islands drifting in a sea of light and color.
I layered gold, copper, brown and turqoise, letting light and color dance together.
We searched for traces of golden nuggets. In the center of the painting, they revealed themselves.
