About this artwork
This year the poppies bloomed late and for a long time. When the wind blows across the fields, the flowers sometimes take on bizarre shapes.
Carola took countless photos of a poppy meadow in her immediate vicinity and then transformed them into paintings. She finds the ever-changing shapes and the reflection of light, which makes the flowers appear almost transparent, very inspiring.
On this canvas she integrated fabrics and collages and worked… with glazes based on Capaplex. The flower painting is signed on the right outer edge.
