About this artwork
In this work, I explore the persona in existential isolation. The composition captures the moment when the performing artist is thrown back upon themselves: the lockdown selfie as the last fragment of digital validation. While the figure remains sharply defined at the center, the world blurs at the periphery – a symbol for the psychological limbo of the pandemic.
Here, I visualize individuation in the absence of an audience; the face mask becomes… an attribute of interrupted communication. My tactile oil painting makes the psychological tangible in the physical. Backed by my Akoun certification, this unique piece on Singulart offers a stable foundation in value.
« Art is like a dream you've already dreamt before. »
Carola E. Thiele's oeuvre manifests the silence behind the phenomenological world. In her compositions, observation of nature and emotional topographies converge to create spaces of archaic density. Thiele positions her works in the psychological in-between space—that liminal place where the social persona meets the unvarnished human condition.
Her technique, a symbiosis of haptic layering and glazing depth, makes the enigmatic nature of existence physically tangible. Grounded in her studies (HFA Hamburg) and media design, she combines meticulous craftsmanship with conceptual rigor. Her work has garnered international acclaim as a recipient of the London-Kyoto Art Award, as well as through curated exhibitions in New York, London, Paris, and Dubai. Supported by her Akoun certification and top rankings on Singulart, her work offers a stable foundation for collectors who invest in the depth of contemporary figuration.
