About this artwork
In this work, I explore human existence in the tension between enforced stagnation and the unbridled urge for individuation. "Lost Time" visualizes the paradox of 2021: The figure, lost in thought, symbolizes a generation in limbo – full of energy, yet blocked on the threshold of independence. Ominous cloud formations reflect the emotional turmoil of a generation whose future paths have been obscured by the fog of restrictions.
I integrate contemporary… symbols like the "smiley to go" sign and the COVID test as surreal relics of a fragmented reality. In my tactile oil paintings, the weight of unused time becomes physically tangible, while the "in-between space" between yesterday and tomorrow becomes a stage for existential reflection. Backed by my Akoun certification, this historical document on Singulart offers a stable value for collectors.
