As in real life, there are many uneven surfaces, cracks and breaks in the background of this work. But in addition to the rough conditions, there are always gentle, smooth, soft areas. A powerful, lively brushwork and the strongly contrasting colored elements each symbolize a building block as a part of life and for decisions made.
And everything is somehow in flux ...
Two canvases… complete the overall picture - for more space, for the individual "elbow".
The woman in the picture radiates inner security. She decided to make herself the most important person in her life. She knows her wants and needs and takes responsibility for her life. Full of self-love and self-confidence. Without being arrogant - she just knows how unique she is.

Carola X is an artist based in Germany whose paintings have been exhibited nationally. Her distinctive figuraitve works celebrate women, reflecting their moods and the individual expressions of their souls. The abstract backgrounds in her compositions are puntuacted with a mysterious "X", which symbolizes the unsaid, or conversely, what is evident.
