About this artwork
This painting is egg tempera on panel. I mix my own paint with fresh egg yolk, powdered pigment, and water. The paint is very thin and transparent so you can see the many layers of application. The painting was made on 4 separate panels all together in one frame. The frame is a handmade, maple floater frame with splined corners and a tongue oil finish.
