About this artwork
This painting was created in summer and reflects the warm, vibrant atmosphere of this season. I worked with different materials such as earth, sand and acrylic paints to create the different textures and layers.
I started this work with different pours and then added different materials layer by layer. The lines that run through the picture were deliberately placed to create movement and direction. The darker areas, in black and dark grey, create… strong contrasts and give the picture depth and dynamism.
The painting is an expression of my fascination with the natural elements and the changes they undergo over time. It invites the viewer to explore the different layers and textures and to sense the summer warmth and vibrancy that inspired me in creating this work.
