About this artwork
"Colorless Night" is a work that captures a special mood with its monochrome color palette. I used black, white and shades of gray to create a mysterious yet calming atmosphere.
In this image I worked with contrasts. The dark, almost black areas are in stark contrast to the light, white layers. This contrast creates depth and dimension and gives the image a certain vibrancy.
With the fine lines and textural details, I wanted to create a tactile… quality and suggest subtle movement and dynamics, almost as if the image was breathing.
For me, "Colorless Night" exudes a quiet elegance and conveys a mood of calm and contemplation. It is a work that transports the viewer to a world without color to discover the beauty and complexity of simple tones.
