In this work, I explored the harmony and serenity that emanates from nature, capturing the essence of oriental art with Indian ink. The dynamic contrast between the sturdy branches and delicate leaves invites contemplation. The duck, peaceful under the tree, symbolizes tranquility. It's an invitation to stay calm and reflect, bringing a calming energy to any space. Along the water, over time...solitary walk, senses alert, to see the world and its… daily life go by, surprising, enchanting or threatening as this lush vegetation could be. This painting is treated in the spirit of Chinese scholarly painters (expression of a state of mind, of a personal vision). Indian ink and pigment on fine, yellow artisanal “rice” paper; manual masking on similar paper; painting explores the vagaries of handmade paper and manual masking; signatures by seal and handwritten.
« Through my work, I wonder about the mystery of artistic creation and the destiny of the living. »
