About this artwork
In this dynamic work, I sought to capture the mesmerizing essence of the ocean. Acrylic allowed me to explore fluidity and movement, creating a dance of abstract colors that evokes marine life in all its mysterious splendor. Each brushstroke reflects the hidden depths where light dances with shadow, an underwater sanctuary. It's more than a painting; it is a sensory immersion that will invigorate your space, bringing with it the energy and serenity… of the sea. Diving into the ocean of our dreams where our desires and our fears intertwine, unconsciousness populated by multiple ephemeral marine creatures and some disturbing ones revealing our fantasies and anxieties: shapes suggesting threatening fish or an attractive female body, shapes dominated by countless indifferent or inquisitive organisms!
« Through my work, I wonder about the mystery of artistic creation and the destiny of the living. »
Catherine Hoang is a painter and sculptor based in France whose works have been exhibited both nationally and in Japan. Her works are marked by human pathological anatomy, the sublime, the trivial, and the ephemeral nature of the human condition. Through her art, Hoang explores themes related to survival and life "in a constantly evolving universe." Her artistic approach is figurative or translates an allusive abstraction.
