About this artwork
In 1983, NC State University School of DesIgn Dean Claude McKinney said to me,
“Your work is beyond what many of our graduates can do when they graduate. You just need to get a job. If you want to get a degree, get it in something else.” So I did.
=>In 1988, I graduated from NCSU with my two daughters and hhha BA in English. Now we sail away- in separate boats-on the same sea.
I used my palette knife to freely and intuitively paint the impasto oil… painting. This 8 X 10 gallery wrapped stretched cotton canvas is lovingly hand-painted with Winsor & Newton professional oil paints from my memories and experience.
