About this artwork
How not to dream in front of a small canvas coming from the Breton coast! A boat drying under the sun, stranded while waiting for the tide to rise!
The artist likes to evoke the beautiful landscapes of France all different and beautiful. Brittany has the advantage of giving us such special lights, as beautiful in rainy weather as in cloudy weather. We imagine that the elements of nature are ready to surprise us, to allow us to dream, to escape… from a daily life not always easy. It is the goal of the painter to take us far, in distant and exotic lands. In this painting, we hear the surf of the sea, we hear the waves come to lick the rocks covered with kelp, we hear the lapping of the water on the burning sand. It is while visiting Mont St Michel that the artist drew his inspiration from this wild coast.

Catherine Sénéchal comes from a family of painters and musicians and is taking over with panache.
