About this artwork

Let's be crazy !! Always the cheerfulness and the color that the artist likes to communicate to those who look at his paintings. This is one of my paintings for which I did not make a preliminary sketch. I started by drawing lines either horizontally or diagonally, then I imagined abstract shapes inside the figures that had been created. What an immense joy to start a painting without knowing in advance what it will represent. Suspense and surprise… are always there. Since it is an oil painting, I could not retouch a figure that I would have disliked. It's a magical painting that, somewhere, almost made itself! The title "fairground" goes well with the colorful painting. It is true that for me color is life and that I am above all a colorist before being a painter. A square work that can be placed in many places, whether above a door or in an entrance facing a mirror for example.
