The painting is defined by its extreme tactile depth. By layering modeling paste, wax, and oils, I have created a sculptural surface that mimics a weathered… relic. The wax lends a soft, organic patina to the oils, while the metallic gold ridges catch the light, shifting the work’s energy as you move around it.
