About this artwork
In this work I used acrylic to capture a bold and vibrant expression. Fiery red meets an enigmatic character, whose extravagant hairstyle and pensive gaze defy conventions. Each line and color aims to evoke the freedom of expression of free creation.

Damian Tirado is a Venezuelan sculptor and artist currently based in France. For Tirando, color does not serve a descriptive purposes but is a mode of expression in its own right. Inspired by Latin art as well as classic European painters like Matisse, Toulouse -Lautrec and Renoir, one of his favorite subjects is the figure of 'woman' and her elegance. His paintings are expertly crafted, ranging from figurative urban landscapes to minimalist charcoal portraits.
