About this artwork
Inspired by Japanese and Chinese paintings of misty landscapes, he set out to create a small edition of prints of a similar scene. The etching was created using a zinc plate etched with a hot water solution of copper sulphate and salt, with additional drypoint work to bring out certain areas. The plate was printed in two colours - red series and blue series - with a screen in the shape of a tall vase. The addition was hand inked and printed on Somerset…
