About this artwork
This graphic is one of the very first I created. I started with a photo of a woman, who became a friend, who had attended one of my film-concerts. The title came to me later and sums up quite well the effect of the random removal of colored areas where white takes over.
Like all my infographics, there is a 10 centimeter white margin.
I should clarify that this is not an engraving but a print on quality paper from a computer-generated image, as… information for this technique is not available in the listing.
Throughout his 50-year artistic career, Christian Paboeuf uses both music and computer graphics, in a way strangely reminiscent of painting. He applies surrealist techniques, shaping his works from photographs to evoke impalpable emotions through color, perspective, and illusionistic paths. His art, marked by the omnipresence of skies and riddled with uncertainty, conveys the importance of journeying, questioning, and doubt, while suggesting that our quest for goals is less relevant than the path we take to get there.
