About this artwork
Acrylic inks ("Black carbon" and diluted "Sanguine") on Ingres d'Arches paper, unlaid side, which presents on this side a slightly grainy and fluffy appearance having a lot of affinity with the ink which is absorbed when like a blotter. Marouflage on laminated panel measuring 32cm x 42cm, presented protruding under synthetic glass with white strip for the frame.
This drawing conceptually evokes plate techtonics, in other words the terrestrial lithospheric… dynamics.

« I paint ideas and visions from my mind in which the poetry of the real is distanced, evoked in a suggestive and underlying way. »
Vidal is a French painter who has long participated in international exhibitions - most notably in Morocco. His expert, classically-trained artistic work jumps from figurative portraits to conceptual photography to abstract acrylic painting. Each piece encourages the viewer to interpret it as they see and feel, free in their personal imagination.
