About this artwork
In my work I fuse acrylic, spray paint and sand into an abstract composition. Using passionate strokes and bold textures, I invite the viewer to experience the stormy dynamism and calm thoughtfulness. The emotionally charged palette explains the duality of our existence - sometimes chaotic, always vibrant. It will bring an energy into your home that is thought-provoking and inspiring at the same time.
« The impressions, experiences and situations that have fueled me life, that's what I capture in my pictures. »
Christiane Lohrig is a dedicated German painter whose works have been exhibited throughout France, Germany and Luxembourg. With a preference for abstract painting, she experiments with a range of materials including wallpaper, strips of which she tears on and off and reworks with oil and spray paint. Lohrig translates anecdotes and clichés into her own visual language, using colours, shapes and lines to make her canvases dance with images, objects and text.
