About this artwork
The metal surface is treated on the front with several layers of white pigment and then carefully polished with fine abrasives. This technique creates grayish to light areas reminiscent of the veins in the delicate, light pigment layer. The… textured landscape comes to life when light falls upon it, casting dramatic shadows that change with the shifting light.
The "Flat White Monolith" has a powerful presence, yet can be mounted on the wall with just one hook or casually leaned against a wall. Signed with the initials cR on the front.
This timeless work of art is perfect for adding a touch of modernity and futuristic style to any room.

« My rather unconventional technique arises from the intention to let the change of the material to the work flow freely. »
The free use of one's own resources is the fundamental creative disposition in Robausch's work.
His techniques and use of materials are also peculiar.
Standing outside the traditional art world, Robausch goes and thinks in an open and unsupported way.
Sculptures, wall objects and relief-like panel paintings are created entirely from within the individual.
Robausch also likes to rework his own works from earlier times, deforming and retuning them.
The translation of the mood of his physical works into digital, animated works sometimes seems strangely alien.
Currently, his original, very material-oriented working method is unfolding again with the "Future Origin" series.
The unpredictable immediacy seems to shine through these enigmatic, relief-like panel paintings.
