About this artwork
Space Project was my attempt to bring the cosmos down to earth — to capture the silence, beauty, and mystery of the universe in metal form. I wanted to create something that felt infinite yet intimate, like gazing into deep space and feeling both small and inspired.
Every swirl and etching was carved by hand into aluminium, guided by instinct and imagination. Layers of crushed glass shimmer across the surface, sealed beneath a crystal-clear gloss… that mirrors starlight drifting through a void.
The integrated RGB backlighting transforms the piece completely — it glows like a galaxy coming to life, shifting with colour and mood. At 120x50cm, Space Project commands attention, pulling you into an abstract journey through light, shadow, and space itself.
For me, it’s not just an artwork — it’s a portal to wonder. A reminder that even the coldest metal can feel alive when touched by imagination.
