About this artwork
Each line is the trace of a movement of the body, color on color and line on line.
The work is built in multiple layers, as many as the grain of the paper can support. The power of the image is the result of the contrast between warm and cold and also complementary to each other. This work was made on a wooden board, which has also been used for previous works, so the reverse side of the paper may contain some subtle traces of color, without prejudice… to the work. It is a procedural and also performative work, making lines on a large format implies the complete intervention of the artist's body. It is hard work that involves many hours of work and concentration. The main image color is saturated, to see the real color, see photos of the details and the study.

Cintia García feels that everyday life is made of 'voids and dead times', and that art is a way of stopping time and transcending it. The Spanish painter's works can be likened to temporary territories, wherein, the viewer becomes the cartographer. Garcia's compositions explore emptiness and need, minimums and opposites, as well as the abundance of nothing. Combining expressionism and minimalism, she creates using acrylics and ink on paper, canvas, or linen.
