About this artwork
There are memories that remain so inviolably alive in us that over the years they become part of our self. They still determine who we are and what defines us. When I decided about five years ago to just paint what was good for myself - whether others would like it or not, whether others find it banal and boring - the first thing that came to mind was the bright yellow of the rape fields behind my grandmother's house that stretched to the horizon.…
Almost every day I walked through the fields and breathed their typical strong scent. I can say that running through the color yellow makes me really happy. - Summer Field is the first painting of my larger landscapes series.
