About this artwork
First days of summer in the mountains, a floral explosion under the still snow-covered peaks.
The pink and mauve tones are placed on a carpet of greenery which seems to carry the mountain range. A sea of flowers like we come across in our beautiful Mercantour mountains in June. But not only. These spring landscapes in which we only aspire to immerse ourselves enchant all mountainous regions of the world, hikers will not be mistaken! . It is a celebration… of life, which I hope will bring a breath of joy and serenity into your home.
Claire Morand, a psychologist and painter, translates her figurative and sometimes impressionistic world through acrylics. Her technique oscillates between meticulous detail and instinctive freedom, using brushes, palette knives, and fingers to capture movement and light. Her works vibrate with positive emotions, infusing joy and well-being to transmute suffering into beauty. Another aspect of Claire's artistic work: she illustrates and personalises mailboxes for private individuals in the south of France and Italy. His village becomes the village of mailboxes that tell the dreams and lives of its inhabitants... gradually his mailboxes bloom everywhere. She even designed the decoration for the Anatole Jakovsky Museum of Naïve Art in Nice, where she occasionally leads painting workshops as part of events organized by the Friends of the Anatole Jakovsky Museum association.
