About this artwork
Luna, a completely white work, characterized by a strong material dimension, invites the viewer to a profound reflection on the relationship between surface, space and traces left by human passage. The predominance of white, far from the traditional function of neutrality, becomes a living, dense territory, where the void is never silent, but on the contrary full of meaning. The footprints of the boots, evident on the surface, suggest a movement,… a physical presence that mark the work, but which is now absent, as if the viewer had to reconstruct the story through the scars left in the material. The footprints are not only signs of a journey, but also traces of life; they merge with the lunar craters and through their organic and deep shape amplify the sense of a landscape that is alien to us, but at the same time evocative of the lunar condition. The material itself, used in a deliberately rough and almost brutal way, becomes the protagonist.
Claudia Amadesi blends multi-material techniques and a passion for nature in her material and minimalist works, transmitting fearless courage in artistic exploration. The works stand out for their ability to play with light, modify matter and use it as a tool to deconstruct and rework reality, transporting the observer into a spiritual dimension. The boundaries with reality become blurred, allowing us to glimpse in each work the fruit of the visceral and interior impulse, grit that characterizes expressive artistic research through the “groove” technique. It is a tale of emotions and sensations, a journey into the depths of the soul. The matter, in her hands, becomes dynamic, comes to life in space, creating plays of light and shadow that amplify the visual experience, an invitation to a profound dialogue between the visible and the invisible, between emotion and matter.
