Rather than describing a specific place, the work captures a feeling many associate with the coast: wind, openness, silence, light, and the quiet tension between movement and stillness.
The dune grass emerging from the left is not simply a compositional detail, but a symbolic element —… recalling the wild grasses that shape and protect the dunes, mark boundaries, and define the character of northern shorelines.
Soft hues of blue, sand, and light create a contemplative, spacious atmosphere. The large square format enhances this sense of calm expansiveness, allowing the viewer to step into the emotional space of the landscape rather than merely observe it.
