Pulso Carmín is a mixed-media relief sculpture that fuses pictorial expressionism with material sculpture. From a chaotic, textured background—dominated by dense brushstrokes of black, violet, and magenta—emerges a three-dimensional form of a bright, vibrant red. This structure evokes a skeletal or twitching hand that merges with a central organic tissue, whose lacquered finish simulates vital fluids or plasma.
Conceptually, the piece captures… the precise moment of contraction and vital flow. The three-dimensional claw acts as a visual metaphor for that "pulse"—the driving, biological force necessary to pump life—while the chromatic "carmine" unifies the beauty of the pigment with the rawness of blood. By abandoning the idealization of the body, the work exposes flesh in its most vulnerable and stark dimension, transforming existence into a purely material tension.
Constanza Victoria Tubio, founder of PanteraSama Studio (a boutique gallery/atelier in Buenos Aires), uses clay, oil, acrylic, and mixed media, fusing her background in UX/UI design and psychology to create deeply introspective and conceptual art. Her techniques range from expressionism and visionary to digital experimentation, incorporating surreal and poetic elements with a structural rigor characteristic of design. Her works convey a powerful invitation to introspection, evoking inner transformations, nostalgia, and an emotional connection to the psyche and the collective unconscious.
