„Die Bettlerin“ ist ein stilles, nachdenkliches Porträt, das die universelle menschliche Erfahrung von Verletzlichkeit, Würde und Isolation einfängt. Die Figur sitzt in einer introspektiven Haltung, während die Umgebung – angedeutet durch eine Kirche im Hintergrund – sowohl Schutz als auch Distanz symbolisiert.
Das Werk thematisiert die stille Resilienz von Menschen, die am Rande der Gesellschaft leben, und fordert den Betrachter auf, die Emotionen… und Geschichten hinter solchen Existenzen zu erkennen.
