About this artwork
The picture shows devil figures, some of which are inserted as three-dimensional elements. They stand on pipes that are part of an old oil production plant. The technical elements of the oil production plant contrast strongly with the childlike devil figures, creating an interesting connection between the world of theater and the industrial past. The choice of colors and the composition invite you to enter a challenging but at the same time fascinating…
world that provokes thoughts about our own reality and the relationship between people, art and technology.
Cornelia Leitner
Germany
Cornelia Leitner, a painter with a background in printmaking, uses photography and experiments with acrylic and watercolor paints. Her unique techniques of alienation, fragmentation and recomposition give her works an unsettling spatiality that breaks with three-dimensional perception. Her artworks convey her uniquely intense fantasy world that she cannot describe in words.
