About this artwork
In this work I blend acrylic painting with collage techniques to create a pictorial and symbolic narrative. The figure, central and reflective, represents the search for personal meaning and freedom, reinforced by historical and cultural set pieces. "Viva la Vida" challenges the viewer to reflect on their own life journey and the inevitable crosses we carry. It brings a powerful energy of survival and hope to any home.
