About this artwork
"Interwoven Night” explores the relationship between structure and fragmentation through a rhythmic, grid-like composition. Repetitive vertical elements evoke architectural forms while also suggesting layers of memory and compressed narratives.
Fragments of text embedded in the surface create a sense of partially hidden meaning, while the mesh-like pattern introduces the idea of barrier and distance. These elements together build a visual tension… between what is visible and what is concealed.
The dark palette, interrupted by subtle color accents, enhances the atmosphere of quiet intensity. Small disruptions within the structure suggest moments of transformation inside an otherwise controlled system.
The work reflects an inner landscape shaped by tension, repetition, and change.
Daiana Bruj is a self-taught visual artist who works primarily with mixed media, drawing on over 20 years of independent artistic evolution. She builds richly textured surfaces through layering acrylics, collage, denim, wire mesh, hand-stitching, and reflective materials, infusing her contemporary works with Art Brut and industrial influences. Her signature assemblages, marked by grids and structural lines, explore the interplay of order and chaos, identity, and resilience. Bruj’s art resonates with echoes of memory and transformation, inviting viewers into contemplative spaces where vulnerability and deeply silent questions linger just beneath the surface.
