Precocious, Tiger Woods started golf at a very young age and achieved an exceptional performance… in all junior categories. An amateur scrutinized for his extraordinary qualities, he turned professional at the end of the summer of 1996. Winner of the 1997 Masters, he became world number 1 less than a season after becoming professional. Dominant for most of the 2000s, various physical problems with his knees and back forced him to reinvent his game.
