My name is Daniel Heinz, a painter from Leipzig. My work stems from a childlike longing to connect with animals – an inner impulse to paint them so that they inhabit the space around us.
Inspired by my mother's porcelain painting and Aivazovsky's The Ninth Wave, I trained as a glass and porcelain painter. The precision of applying paint in layers became the foundation of my artistic language.
Today I combine this craft with spontaneous gestures using palette knives, brushes, and flowing paint. Structure and expression meet where control meets freedom, and closeness meets distance.
My aim is not to depict animals as symbols, but to encounter them as independent beings. Through the dialogue of detail and movement, a "breathing stillness" emerges – surfaces that unite wild dynamism and measured slowness.
No symbols. No decoration. Just presences that demand their space.
"Thank you very much, Mr.Heinz. You have captured this moment perfectly. I have a herd of cattle with a bull and I am thrilled by these animals."
