Danièle Jasselin, a painter and illustrator trained at the Rennes School of Fine Arts, works with acrylics enhanced with Posca markers, a technique inherited from her passion for vibrant color and the dynamics of life. Her style belongs to the realm of outsider art, blending free figuration and illustration, always imbued with boundless imagination. In her seascapes and colorful scenes, she conveys an intense joy of living and the capacity to find wonder in the everyday.
I was born by the sea in Dinard, Brittany, and I live in Rennes.
Hence the seascapes, small fish and small ships and other escapism.
You have to love life and life will love you back.
Danièle Jasselin.
"To create is like living twice; it is also about shaping one's destiny."
